the fall semester has started and with it comes also the traditional Lapland UAS opening event for students and staff!

This year the opening event is divided to two different days. Thursday 8.9. we will be having stands in every campus city as in friday the 9th there will be an united event in Rovaniemi at Valdemari by the river Kemijoki starting at 1PM. There also will be the legendary rowing contest between Lapland UAS and Lapland UNI. After that the day continues with the first year students city orienteering checkpoint race.

The after party of the event will be held at Half Moon Night Club where you can get in with the free bracelet that can be collected from our coffee tent. The after party starts at 9PM.

CAMPUS STANDS

The stands are held between 10AM and 2PM.
Enjoy some coffee and say hello to old and new people! There will be different stands from associations, projects etc.

LOCATIONS:
Rovaniemi JOKIVÄYLÄ: The Main lobby
Kemi KOSMOS: 1st floor. The lobby with the glass roof
(note. There might be still some renovations going on so if the lobby isn't available there will be ROTKO staff giving directions!)
Tornio MINERVA: 1st floor, the lobby

THE OFFICIAL OPENING EVENT

The day is held together at Rovaniemi.

Note! Kemi and Tornio staff and students are having a bus transfer for the day. There are two buses and they will be filled by the order of registration. Signing up for the buses has ended.

The bus leaves from Tornio Campus at 10:30AM and from Kemi Campus at 11:00AM. The buses will be at Rovaniemi Valdemari around 1PM.

The buses leave from Rovaniemi to Kemi and Tornio at 02:00AM
Leaving place: Poromiehentie, Stop: Porokulma E (The stop in front of Half Moon)

NOTE! Kemi restaurant Lippo and Tornio restaurant Pikantti are open at 10AM so you can have lunch before leaving to Rovaniemi.
