HEAD TUTORS IN LAPLAND UAS

What does a head tutor do?

The head tutor serves as a close support for tutors and regularly invites them to a tutor meeting. They act as mentors for the tutor team and ensure that the team's spirit and team work is supported by well-being activities. Head tutors participate in the development of tutoring activities and contribute to the work of the work group of peertutoring. This work group is led by the Community Developers of the Student Union Rotko, and it consists the peer guidance expert of the student union and all head tutors.

Head tutor’s term begins in April 2024 and concludes in March 2025.

Head tutor can act as in situations related to communication between UAS staff and tutors, as well as in the development of tutor team activities. They also facilitate the progression of issues related to their own tutor team members.

All tutor coordinators receive training for their role from the student union.
