Suggest a teacher of the year 2026
Do you know a teacher who is actively involved in the development of education? A teacher who encourages their students? A teacher who always has the energy to highlight the importance of UAS education? A teacher who is proud to be a teacher at a university of applied sciences? Is there a teacher in your programme who deserves the title of Teacher of the Year? Student Union ROTKO is looking for a Teacher of the Year in cooperation with SAMOK and other Student Unions of Universities of Applied Sciences. We are now seeking suggestions from all UAS-students for a teacher who supports student diversity and students.

In the proposition include the name of the teacher and justifications why you think the teacher has earned the prize.
Student Union ROTKO will choose a maximum of three propositions and send them forward to SAMOK. A jury chosen by SAMOK will handle the propositions anonymously and make the final decision about the teacher of the year. The winner is announced at the nationwide UAS-days that is held on 5.-6.5.2026.
YOGOBE, offers you different yoga styles, tutorials, online meditations for concentration, calmness and growth as well as breathing exercises, prayama for your needs. In addition, the sites also have exercise videos for strengthening, mobility and strength.

Student Services info
Student Services are open at the Kemi Kosmos and Rovaniemi Jokiväylä campuses on Mon–Thu from 9:00–11:00 and 12:00–13:30.
In Tornio, services are available by appointment via the Booking system.
On weekdays, the services are also available by phone and e-mail. In addition, it is possible to book an appointment with Student Services for a remote or in-person meeting via the Booking system.

Study retreats online

Wellbeing Instructor
Moving helps us recover, increases resources and empowers us well. Sometimes, however, getting started can feel awkward. You can ask our wellness instructor for support or new ideas for your own movement. Mika helps and advises on matters related to starting exercise, overall physical well-being and coping.
